ROSEMARY is a hugely popular Mediterranean herb with excellent antioxidant properties. This is largely thanks to diterpenes – a group of antioxidant compounds that have been shown to prevent neuronal cell death in Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s models. These compounds may also inhibit the growth of certain cancer cells, including breast and liver, among others. Due to their anti-microbial properties, rosemary extracts are currently approved as a natural food preservative.
