- Improve your posture while driving your car. Tilt your rear view mirror up so you need to sit straighter in order to see behind you.
- At work, set an alert at least once an hour to remind you to get up and move away from your computer.
- Have an evening out at a comedy club, rent a funny movie, or have friends over for fun games. Laughing helps increase blood flow and improve cardiovascular health.
- Use a smaller plate when serving your food. It will help you to reduce the amount of food you eat and in the long run, help control your weight.
- Wash your hands with soap and water rather than antibacterial compounds. Many of these compounds use a chemical called triclosan as an active ingredient. Antibacterial soaps have the potential to create antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Plus antibacterial soaps are no more effective than conventional soap and water.
