Ingredients
  • 1 lb. organic ground beef
  • ½ lb. non-cured bacon
  • ½ white onion, chopped (I like mine roughly chopped to I get chunks of onion in each bite)
  • ¼ head of cabbage, shredded
  • 1 egg
  • Moroccan-inspired spices (paprika, sea salt, lemon juice and grated peel or lemon oil, turmeric, ginger and anything else you'd like to add)
  • Cheese of choice, shredded
Instructions
  1. Chop bacon into small pieces.I use kitchen scissors to cut the bacon into pieces
  2. Mix the bacon and ground beef in a large bowl.
  3. Add chopped onion and cabbage.
  4. Add all the spices and mix meat mixture.
  5. Add egg and mix through meat mixture.
  6. Place meat mixture in baking dish.
  7. Cook at 375 degrees F. for 45 minutes.
  8. When meat is browned, sprinkle cheese on top and cook until bubbly.
